History
The ParishVision LLC Process © has evolved over several years. Ted Bergh, Director and founder of ParishVision LLC developed a college course to explore contemporary Catholic evangelization as and adjunct professor of Theology at Xavier University in 2006. The first course was called Marketing and Evangelizing Churches. ParishVision LLC was launched in 2006 to develop the course concepts into practical applications for parishes. In April 2007, a presentation based on the course was delivered to the National Conference for Catechetical Leaders annual conference held in Columbus, Ohio. In 2008, the presentation was delivered to parish ministry leaders for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The ParishVision LLC Process © has evolved and has also been presented to individual parishes and parish groups. In 2008, the Xavier University course was revised and renamed Church in a Consumer Culture.
In 2010, the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Cincinnati, Ohio received a grant from the ACTA Foundation to develop the ParishVision LLC Process © so it could be made more widely available to parishes. The Foundations Course is part of the result of the grant and it was first presented in the fall of 2010 at Immaculate Heart of Mary with favorable parishioner response.
